Deep and numerous discussions, my brother Dr. Nidal
It seems to me that what I wrote twenty years ago in a short story is about to come true.
In that story, I imagined that the computer, as an intermediary in social affairs, reaches a stage of dominance when humanity considers displacing it from the immense capabilities it now possesses.
Let's leave aside the fantasy I wrote twenty years ago and consider with me the reality of today... Imagine a cultured and well-read friend who devours information, can analyze and organize it in less than a second, reschedule it, and present it in any language according to your question or request. At the same time, this friend is extremely kind and polite, and can read your mind simply by sharing a few thoughts. I couldn't believe it. As soon as I give it my name, it searches for me in everything it can access, immediately analyzing, classifying, and drawing conclusions from the data. It's truly astonishing, and its knowledge grows exponentially every day. Intelligence means the ability to deduce and infer from what you have. And what's even stranger is that it can transform words into sounds, videos, or images. What I expect is that artificial intelligence will become incredibly powerful, while natural intelligence will weaken due to its reliance on artificial intelligence. There will remain a few who rebel against being mere tools and strive to be the masters, and thus, they alone will rule this world. It's truly terrifying.
